SUper Saxophone Quartet is a band made up of acclaimed musicians from Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary and Ukraine; Gabor Bunford (soprano, alto), Max Kochetov (alto), Adam Klemm (tenor) and Jasna Jovićević (baritone). All of them are band leaders, composers and excellent improvisers; although their quartet smoothly blends, it contains the individual expressions. Saxophone quartet repertoire includes original contemporary composed and improvised music, modern jazz, distinguished but easy to listen. The intensity and dynamics of harmony that four saxophones create, provide an authentic atmosphere and musical experience interesting not only for jazz and contemporary music lovers.
Jasna Jovićeviċ (baritone saxophone) completed BA degree in Jazz Saxophone from “Liszt Ferenc” Academy in Budapest, MA in Music Composition from York University in Toronto, currently working on PhD dissertation in Art theory in Belgrade. She performed, won several awards at competitions, and artist residency scholarships in Budapest, New York,( San Francisco, Washington D.C., Milan, Belgrade, Brazil, India, etc…She performed original music with distinguished musicians such as Hamid Drake, Mike Stern, released 5 solo albums of original music and dozen as a sideman, teaches music methodology and instructs yoga. She is a founder of many educational music projects affirming gender equality, and arts & science in music research. She leads NSJO- Balkan Women in Jazz Orchestra.
Adam Klemm (tenor saxophone) has a BA and a master degree in Jazz Saxophone from the University of Music And Performing Arts in Graz, Austria. As a bandleader of The Adam Klemm Banda, he released 3 CD’s of original music and many as a sideman. He is a regular member and soloist of the Slovenian RTV Big Band for the last 13 years, so he had the honor to share the stage with jazz greats such as: Mike Stern, Joe Lovano, Peter Erskine, Nicholas Payton, and Kurt Elling…
Gabor Bunford (alto and soprano saxophone) has a degrees of clarinet and classical saxophone at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He played with Đorđe Balašević ,Vlado Georgiev, Šaban Bajramović, Jelena Tomasevic, Dino Dvornik, Massimo Savić, and many others. He works as a professor of clarinet at the Music School Subotica, and as the assistant professor of saxophone at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He is a member and soloist of the Novi Sad Big Band, and the artistic director of "Jazzik" international jazz festival in Subotica. He was awarded with the Ferenc Bodrogvari Award by the City of Subotica.
Max Kochetov (alto saxophone) studied Art and Culture at the International Slovenian University and the State Music College “R.M. Gliera” in Ukraine, where he was performing with the world famous musicians and jazz orchestra (Alexander Shapoval Big Band,Dean Brown, Frank Lacy,Steve Logan,Eric Marienthal, etc…). Since 2006 he lives and works in Belgrade, and in 2010 he became lead alto saxophonist in Big Band of Radio Television of Serbia (RTS). Маx recorded two albums of original music and performs on many jazz festivals around Serbia and Europe.
